The
innovative electroluminescent (EL) lighting wire, LyTecTM, is an electronic
component protected by worldwide patents. The wire is flexible, emits
light along its entire length as well as its circumference, and is
available in a wide range of diameters. It can be cut to any length,
from centimeters to thousands of meters, comes in a variety of colors,
and is cool-to-touch. LyTecTM is powered by battery operated drivers
or by a household outlet.
ELAM Electroluminescent Industries Ltd., the developer and manufacturer
of LyTecTM, was established in 1994 and began sales in 1998. The Elam
plant resides in the new "Hi-Tech" industrial complex in Jerusalem,
Israel, and the 30,000 sq. ft. facility is ISO 9002 certified. LyTecTM
has been approved by the CE and UL. Elam has a staff of some 50 employees,
three international marketing and sales offices, and was a recipient
of the Chief Scientist of Israel's excellence award in 1996.
