ProMining Therapeutics operates in the field of protein–protein interactions (PPIs) which are essential components of virtually all cellular processes. The focus of the company is in a specific domain found in key proteins involved in mediating signal transduction from cell surface receptors. The domain interaction with other proteins is considered as a classical protein–protein interaction that has been characterized and well defined. This domain interaction with partner proteins has been perturbed by linear peptides, cyclic peptides and recently by small molecules. This validates the opportunity of developing small molecule inhibitors against the domain interactions with its ligands.
